S\u00e1nchez<br \/> FOTO: MARIO JASSO \/CUARTOSCURO<\/p>\n<p>Uno de los servicios que los municipios tienen la responsabilidad de garantizar es la recolecci\u00f3n de residuos s\u00f3lidos urbanos (RSU). La gesti\u00f3n de estos desechos inicia con la recolecci\u00f3n, que supone un reto importante de log\u00edstica y equipamiento.<\/p>\n<p>Este ranking, elaborado por <em>Alcaldes de M\u00e9xico<\/em> a partir del Censo Nacional de Gobiernos Municipales y Demarcaciones Territoriales de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico 2019, publicado este a\u00f1o por el Instituto Nacional de Estad\u00edstica y Geograf\u00eda (Inegi), con datos a 2018, muestra a los 100 municipios y alcald\u00edas en los que se recolecta la mayor cantidad de RSU.<\/p>\n<p>En promedio, estas 100 demarcaciones recogen 65 millones 571 mil 987 de kilogramos (kg) de RSU cada d\u00eda, esta cifra representa 61.2 por ciento de los RSU que se recolectan diariamente a nivel nacional.<\/p>\n<p>La labor de recolecci\u00f3n de desechos se lleva a cabo en veh\u00edculos destinados especialmente para ese fin. En total, 16 mil 626 unidades se encargan de recoger la basura de todos los mexicanos; los 100 municipios que conforman este ranking concentran 52 por ciento de ellos, es decir, 8 mil 752, de los cuales, 5 mil 660 son camiones equipados con compactador; 2 mil 105 son camionetas con caja abierta, pick up, de redilas y camiones de volteo, y 811 son otro tipo de veh\u00edculos, como barredoras, gr\u00faas, trascabos, entre otros.<\/p>\n<p>La alcald\u00eda Gustavo A. Madero, en la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, es la demarcaci\u00f3n en la que se recolecta la mayor cantidad de RSU: 3 millones 13 mil 690 kg de desechos al d\u00eda. Quince de las 16 alcald\u00edas de la capital del pa\u00eds se encuentran en este ranking.<\/p>\n<p>A Gustavo A. Madero le sigue Tijuana, Baja California, con 1 mill\u00f3n 769 mil 90 kg de RSU recolectados al d\u00eda.Guadalajara (1 mill\u00f3n 729 mil 890 kg) y Zapopan (1 mill\u00f3n 600 mil kg), en Jalisco, y Cuauht\u00e9moc (1 mill\u00f3n 597 mil kg), en la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, completan el Top 5 del ranking.<\/p>\n<p>En este listado, el municipio de San Luis Potos\u00ed capital es el que cuenta con el mayor n\u00famero de veh\u00edculos en operaci\u00f3n para la recolecci\u00f3n de RSU: 503 en total, seguido de Tijuana, Baja California, con 343; Gustavo A.
