Hern\u00e1ndez Alday<\/span><\/p>\n<p>San Crist\u00f3bal de Las Casas es el segundo destino tur\u00edstico m\u00e1s importante de Chiapas, seg\u00fan la Secretar\u00eda de Turismo estatal. En la temporada decembrina de 2024, registr\u00f3 un incremento del 7 por ciento en el n\u00famero de turistas respecto a 2023, con 98 mil 93 visitantes. Para el hospedaje, ofrece 276 alojamientos, cuatro mil 944 habitaciones, adem\u00e1s de 70 agencias de viajes, tres arrendadoras tur\u00edsticas y 16 transportadoras.<\/p>\n<p>En este contexto, San Crist\u00f3bal \u2014tambi\u00e9n conocido como la Capital Cultural de Chiapas\u2014 ha mantenido su compromiso con la ciudadan\u00eda: renov\u00f3 su paisaje urbano y fortaleci\u00f3 la seguridad para elevar la calidad de vida de los habitantes, al tiempo que mejor\u00f3 la experiencia tur\u00edstica de los visitantes, a trav\u00e9s de una estrategia de transformaci\u00f3n que preserva su posici\u00f3n como el Pueblo M\u00e1gico chiapaneco por excelencia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rescate y preservaci\u00f3n tur\u00edstica<\/strong><br \/>En octubre de 2024, con el inicio de la administraci\u00f3n de la Presidenta Municipal, Fabiola Ricci Diestel, comenz\u00f3 la recuperaci\u00f3n del espacio p\u00fablico para reorientar a San Crist\u00f3bal de Las Casas como una ciudad segura y un destino hospitalario. Se traz\u00f3 un plan de trabajo con tres etapas: diagn\u00f3stico de la situaci\u00f3n municipal, intervenci\u00f3n focalizada en las prioridades, y acciones programadas para su continuidad.<\/p>\n<p>El municipio conserva una herencia hist\u00f3rica de m\u00e1s de cuatro siglos, y desde 2003 forma parte del programa Pueblos M\u00e1gicos de la Secretar\u00eda de Turismo. Su distintivo fue renovado en 2021. \u201cReafirmar nuestro car\u00e1cter de Pueblo M\u00e1gico no significa solo conservar un t\u00edtulo, sino tambi\u00e9n reconstituir un pacto de modernidad entre la ciudad y su gente\u201d, afirma la Presidenta Municipal. Esta estrategia ha tenido resultados inmediatos que se perciben en el retorno del turismo a la localidad, con empresarios que reabrieron sus comercios y una poblaci\u00f3n que ha recuperado la vida \u00faltimo trimestre de 2024 sin recursos municipales. Tras notificarlo a la Auditor\u00eda Superior del Estado, la Tesorer\u00eda Municipal implement\u00f3 una estrategia de financiamiento multifuente para combatir el rezago, que permiti\u00f3 una inversi\u00f3n de 152 mdp en seguridad, 74 mdp en limpieza, 33 mdp en turismo y m\u00e1s de 28 mdp en alumbrado p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n<p>Se establecieron prioridades territoriales mediante un ecosistema de acciones articuladas en cuatro ejes: iluminaci\u00f3n, limpieza, reordenamiento vial y comercial, y seguridad p\u00fablica, con el objetivo de reposicionar a la localidad como un lugar seguro, ordenado y respetuoso.<\/p>\n<p>En esta nueva etapa, el fortalecimiento de la seguridad fue la prioridad para dar tranquilidad a locales, visitantes y comerciantes, no solo en temporadas vacacionales, sino tambi\u00e9n de forma permanente. Para lograrlo, cada proyecto tuvo un componente de evaluaci\u00f3n, enfoque en resultados y rendici\u00f3n de cuentas. \u201cLa seguridad no se estima solo por la reducci\u00f3n de delitos, sino tambi\u00e9n en poder caminar con tranquilidad. En junio de 2025, la Direcci\u00f3n de Alumbrado P\u00fablico Municipal realiz\u00f3 labores de mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo, con la instalaci\u00f3n de al menos 42 luminarias nuevas y la sustituci\u00f3n de 26 l\u00e1mparas LED y solares en distintas zonas de la ciudad.<\/p>\n<p>El segundo eje fue reorganizar las rutas de limpieza para procurar un ambiente saludable. Actualmente, el municipio cuenta con una capacidad operativa reforzada: 25 camiones recolectores en 76 rutas, y 288 contenedores de basura nuevos instalados en puntos clave de la ciudad. Adem\u00e1s, se impulsaron campa\u00f1as educativas para motivar a los ciudadanos a sumarse a las brigadas de limpieza, lo que permiti\u00f3 la generaci\u00f3n de 200 empleos temporales.<\/p>\n<p>Como tercer eje se trabaj\u00f3 en el ordenamiento vial y comercial, priorizando al peat\u00f3n para mejorar la movilidad. En este marco, se renov\u00f3 el equipamiento urbano y se embelleci\u00f3 la entrada principal del municipio, en Perif\u00e9rico Poniente. \u201cMejorar la infraestructura vial contribuye a elevar la seguridad ciudadana y la experiencia de quienes nos visitan\u201d, se\u00f1ala Ricci Diesel.<\/p>\n<p>El cuarto eje se enfoc\u00f3 en establecer una estrategia de seguridad de proximidad, mediante la creaci\u00f3n de un nuevo cuerpo policiaco para combatir la delincuencia y generar confianza en la poblaci\u00f3n. Esto implic\u00f3 reorganizar las capacidades municipales y coordinar esfuerzos con el cuerpo de Tr\u00e1nsito Municipal, la Polic\u00eda estatal y el Ministerio P\u00fablico. Con ello, aumentaron los patrullajes, los veh\u00edculos policiales y el personal, con la incorporaci\u00f3n de 90 efectivos a la Polic\u00eda municipal. Como resultado, entre enero y mayo de 2025, San Crist\u00f3bal recibi\u00f3 513 mil 945 turistas y una derrama econ\u00f3mica de mil 452 millones 797 mil 433 pesos, de acuerdo con datos de la Secretar\u00eda de Turismo del Gobierno de Chiapas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trabajo colaborativo<\/strong><br \/>La transformaci\u00f3n de San Crist\u00f3bal de Las Casas fue posible en parte por la participaci\u00f3n ciudadana, pues gracias a la renovaci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 200 comit\u00e9s vecinales se atendieron m\u00e1s de mil 200 gestiones comunitarias. De igual forma, Fabiola Ricci lider\u00f3 la gesti\u00f3n y el trabajo colaborativo con empresarios e inversionistas, con acciones encaminadas a mejorar la econom\u00eda y la calidad de vida.<\/p>\n<p>La promoci\u00f3n tur\u00edstica del Pueblo M\u00e1gico tuvo como ancla la creaci\u00f3n de eventos culturales para rescatar el esp\u00edritu festivo y alegre de la comunidad. \u201cEstas acciones tienen fundamento en el Plan Municipal de Desarrollo (PMD) 2024-2027, que vincula objetivos y resultados con los distintos ejes de trabajo, como una estrategia integral de transformaci\u00f3n\u201d, explica Gabriel Mart\u00ednez Palacios, Secretario T\u00e9cnico Municipal. El PMD fue el primero dise\u00f1ado desde las comisiones del ayuntamiento, resultado del trabajo de colaboraci\u00f3n entre autoridades y ciudadanos, al cual se lleg\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s de foros tem\u00e1ticos.<\/p>\n<p>La siguiente etapa, prevista para 2026-2027, busca fortalecer las acciones en materia de iluminaci\u00f3n, limpieza, ordenamiento vial y seguridad p\u00fablica que renuevan al municipio como Pueblo M\u00e1gico.
